NAMI Northeast Kansas/Leavenworth offers several meetings each month. These meetings are open to the public, for
anyone dealing with a mental illness, families and friends.
Each meeting begins with a general discussion and/or program, followed by support group meetings. Most support
group meetings are separated into Family Support and Connection Meetings. The Connection meetings are for those
dealing with a mental illness. The Family Support meetings are for families and friends. Tuesday meetings are open
to all. Wednesday meetings are for Military, Veterans or their families.
Meetings are held at 1013 Pottawatomie, Leavenworth, KS. 66048 (the yellow church building)
The 2nd Tuesday of each month is a general meeting, followed by the separate support groups.
The last Tuesday of each month is a program meeting, followed by the separate support groups.
These meetings are from 6:30 p.m., until 8:30 p.m.
Programs deal with issues impacting mental illness, new activities or other mental health topics, and are based upon
input by our members. These meetings may include guest speakers on the topic.
1st Wednesday of each month is a support meeting for Active Military and Veterans dealing with a mental illness.
Meetings are from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
3rd Wednesday of each month is a support meeting for families/friends of Active Military and Veterans. Meetings are
from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
